Book sales are up in the July 2012 Income Report!
Overall July felt like a successful month. While the stock photo sales were down (12 sales), the book sales from Amazon and my website, www.milkallergycompanion.com, were up, so overall more money was earned in July.
The top stock photo sale this month was a bit surprising to me. It was the trunk of a giant sequoia tree in Yosemite National Park.
I LOVE Yosemite National Park any time of the year. Mariposa Grove is home to the giant sequoias. These silent sentinels are so enormous that their branches are the size of tree trunks. Amazing and awe-inspiring for sure. Because we visited during the day, the lighting was choppy and uneven. I was very lucky to have gotten this image not only accepted to the agency but to have sales as well. This just goes to show that we don’t always know what will be popular which is why we need to keep on shooting and getting ourselves out there as well as submitting photos. How about you?
